Today finds the shop humming with activity and a gorgeous South Texas winter day (about 70 degrees with lots of sunshine). Could we ask for any better?! As the New Year edges closer it does afford us a wonderful time to look back and definitely look forward. This has been a transforming year for me personally - and has closed wonderfully with the opening of The Tinsmith's Wife and meeting some wonderful new friends. It has also continued to strengthen the bond with my family. Blessings.

In the two months since we opened, we have met some fantastic people. Each person brings a story and an individual approach to the craft. Kelly joins us about every Sunday (and at times with her beautiful dog, Buttercup), and she is a joy and has quickly become family. She is a Comfort resident and can walk to the shop. How cool is that?!
We have also met Frenchie and her granddaughters, Frenchie got back into the knitting after a short hiatus by working on the Wooly Stripes shawl. On one of her visits she brought her granddaughters, Macy and Logan, in with her. The girls were interested in learning to knit, so all sat down to learn the basics. Obviously they were quick studies as two days later they came back with their beautiful scarves and were ready for the next project!
The list could continue.... Each day brings another wonderful person through our doors. How exciting to think who will come through the doors in 2009! We do hope that each of you will either be inspired for the next project, learn a new technique, or to come together with joy! We do have the January and February class schedules finalized, and we are already working on March and April. AND 2009 will bring us together in several Knit Nights!
Better get back to knitting - I am testing out the Scarves to Throws Scarf for Month One. Gorgeous and heavenly Lorna's Laces Worsted in their new colorway, Roadside Gerry!
Happy New Year!!
